Sonuscore has released Free Ethnic Flute Phrases, a freely downloadable ethnic flute sound library for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Free Ethnic Flute Phrases contains a selection of sounds from Sonuscore’s premium Ethnic Flute Phrases ($99 value) sound library for Kontakt. The free pack includes over 100 royalty-free flute recordings from the full version of the library.

Please note that Free Ethnic Flute Phrases requires the full version of Kontakt. It will only work for fifteen minutes in the free Kontakt Player instrument. Learn more about the Kontakt Player demo mode in our short tutorial.

The library features a custom Kontakt user interface which enables quick access to the different flute phrases and the built-in effects. The flute phrases are available in multiple tonalities and with numerous expressive variations. The user can mix and match the shorter phrases to create a custom flute melody.

The effect controls are located on a separate panel. The user can fine-tune the built-in equalizer, reverb, and delay effect modules.

While not being strictly Indian, this HandPan sample library could certainly add some flavor to your productions.

It usually sells for $35, but it’s now free for a while, so make sure to get it while you can!

You’ll need a MIDI Controller

Best Free Ethnic Vst Software

In order to be able to use these plugins properly, you will need some sort of MIDI Controller.

While you can use your mouse to map the MIDI in your DAW, it’s a lot faster and easier to do it with a keyboard/controller.

My recommendation here is for you to get something like the M-Audio Oxygen 25 MK IV MIDI Controller which you can find at Amazon at a very affordable price, plus it comes with some extra software like Pro Tools First.

Conclusion

It was actually hard to find good-sounding Indian VST that were actually free, but here are the ones I found. /vst-dbx-expander-free.html.

Some of them allow you to purchase the premium version, which you could definitely do if you find yourself using them a lot.
